MATCHED PAIR OF BUFFET, E13 CLARINETS, £1595

An extremely fine matched pair of E13 clarinets in Silver plate. These instruments are a commission sale for Clarinets Direct and they are both in pristine condition.
The Bb has matching serial numbers K106247, which dates to 2001. There is no damage to the wood, which is crack and repair free. The plating overall is in superb condition with no loss. The instrument has just had a re-pad in fish skin pads. The A has S/N K106874, & has plating throughout in perfect condition. All pieces are original, matching, and with Buffet logo stamps. It has just been partially overhauled in fish skin pads, all of which are either new, or in excellent condition. The case is the original Buffet in very good condition which comes with the keys, which are still wrapped. The m'piece is a brand new stock Buffet. Current E13s are being treated by Buffet with a chemical compound, which is supposed to inhibit cracking. In fact this seems to be causing some joint problems for Buffet, with many new instrument owners reporting problems with sticking joints to dealers, due to this compound leaching out from the wood end grain. At the period this instruments was made, thankfully the Grenadilla wood was left to age naturally prior to manufacture. The pair can be split as follows: A in double case without m'piece for £845.
