BUFFET E13 Bb CLARINET, £795

A very good condition Buffet, E13 clarinet. The Grenadilla wood is in superb condition, with no scuffs or scratches, pristine. There is no joint wobble. The instrument has recently had an overhaul in finest Pisoni White Leather pads, which are all "as new". This is an expensive up grade as main London dealers will charge more than £300 for this work. The key work has also been regulated, with all touch and tenon corks replaced as necessary. The Silver plating throughout is in good condition, with no wear. The serial nos. are K97231, which dates to the mid 1990's. Contemporary E13s are treated with a chemical compound designed to prevent cracking. Unfortunately this appears to leach out of the wood after a few weeks of playing, causing many problems with joints sticking or refusing to go together. Thankfully when this instrument was manufactured, Buffet Crampon were still ageing the wood naturally. The supplied Buffet m'piece is in good condition. The Buffet case is the original which functions well, but shows some stains to the interior lining.
