BUFFET E13 Bb CLARINET, £945

An extremely fine condition E13 clarinet in Silver plate, which is supplied with all original documentation, and keys to the case. This instrument has had only one careful adult owner from new. The matching serial numbers are K139918, and all pieces are original with Buffet stamps. There is no damage to the wood, which is crack and repair free. The Silver plating shows no wear, it is in excellent shape throughout. The instrument has just had a complete re-pad in Pisoni deluxe fish skin pads, and is sold with our full 1 year warranty. The case is the original which is in very good condition. The m'piece is the original, which is also in very good condition. The wood for current E13s is being treated by Buffet with a chemical compound, which is supposed to inhibit cracking. In fact this seems to be causing some joint problems for Buffet, with many new instrument owners reporting problems with sticking joints to dealers, due to this compound leaching out from the wood end grain. At the period this instrument was made, thankfully the Grenadilla wood was left to age naturally prior to manufacture.
