BUFFET E13 Bb CLARINET, £795

A mint condition Buffet E13 Bb clarinet. This is a one owner instrument, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. The original owner bought it just before going to University to read Biology, her intention had be to continue playing for fun. However the demands of her course were such that the clarinet remainded in the box, unplayed. It has had less than one months' use since she bought it new 10 years ago, and understandably, she feels it is time to sell. It is rare to describe a clarinet made 10 years ago as mint, but this is the case here, even the original Buffet box in which the clarinet was supplied is "as new".
This clarinet is Buffet's top student wooden model. The Silver plate key work is pristine, all pieces are original & have bright matching Buffet stamps. The Grenadilla wood is in perfect condition. This clarinet has the original fish skin pads in overall very good condition; with normal use they should be fine for several years. The instrument has had a thorough "check down" in the Clarinets Direct workshop for pad seal and regulation. The matching serial nos. are K134106. The m'piece is brand new, and unplayed, as the original owner used the one supplied with her first clarinet. The case is also "as new" and is supplied with accessories including sealed keys. Current E13s are being treated by Buffet with a chemical compound, which is supposed to inhibit cracking. In fact this seems to be causing some joint problems for Buffet, with many new instrument owners reporting problems with sticking joints to dealers, due to this compound leaching out from the wood end grain. At the period this instrument was made, thankfully the Grenadilla wood was left to age naturally prior to manufacture.
