BUFFET E11 Bb CLARINET, £545

An extremely fine condition Buffet E11 clarinet, in Grenadilla wood. This instrument is Buffet's semi-professional model, and this example has matching serial nos. 9342331, which makes it one of the last made in Germany, before manufacture was shifted to the old Leblanc factory in La Couture, Buffet having purchased the Leblanc factory in 2009. The Silver plated key work is in pristine condition, with no wear. This clarinet has just had an overhaul in finest Pisoni White leather pads, the previous owner must have held this instrument in particularly high esteem to go to such expense: These pads will be good, in normal use, for up to five years. The wood throughout is in very good condition, with no cracks or repairs, though there is one surface scratch near the register key, see photo 10. All pieces are original and carry matching Buffet stamps, even the plastic mouthpiece cap. This instrument comes with a special edition Buffet stamped case cover, with carry strap and zippable pouches. This is a vast improvement over the basic Buffet supplied E11 case, which has nowhere to store music or other bulky accessories. The case and cover are both in excellent condition.
