BUFFET EVETTE & SCHAEFFER E13 Bb CLARINET, £645

A nice condition vintage Buffet Evette and Schaeffer E13. The German Silver key work is excellent throughout, with no wear. We have just entirely re-padded in Pisoni Deluxe Tan Leather pads, with the exception of the C#/G# key and register key, which are in cork. The clarinet is sold with our full year's Clarinets Direct warranty. The matching serial nos. are B8087 which dates to the 1950's: A fine period of quality hand finished manufacture. The wood overall is in good order throughout, with the exception of the upper joint tenon, which has a couple of chips, see photo 4, and the bell,which has a repaired crack, see photo 11. Neither of these affect the response, as the chips are on the outer edge of the tenon ring, and the crack to the bell has been filled and sealed in our workshop: The repair is also covered under our 1 year warranty . These days E13's are made from inferior quality wood which is stained to hide imperfections. The case is a brand new Venus, and the mouthpiece a used professional Vandoren 2V.
