SELMER CENTERED TONE, FULL BOEHM, Bb CLARINET, £795 

An excellent condition Selmer Paris Centered Tone Full Boehm clarinet to low Eb. The instrument features all the "bells and whistles": Fork Eb/Bb, articulated C#/G#, LH Ab/Eb and a range to low Eb.
This Bb clarinet, S/N R6209, dating to 1957 has German Silver keywork in good condition throughout. All pads are Pisoni Tan leather is good condition. There are no cracks to the wood apart from a tiny stress crack to the lower joint between the C# and C holes. This is the usual place for Selmer Full Boehm clarinets to crack, because at this point the joint is actually sleeved internally in metal, fortunately the crack has absolutely no effect on the response, see photo 7. In addition the thumb rest has been moved lower in the past, and the original screw holes filled, see photo 10. There are 2 supplied barrels of 66.5mm and 63.5mm.   The double case is in fair condition, it latches well but there are some tears to the interior lining.
