SELMER, PARIS, CENTERED TONE Bb CLARINET, £745 

A good condition professional Selmer Paris Centered Tone Bb clarinet. This model, and the CT Omega, were both endorsed by Benny Goodman. This instrument is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct, and has been professionally owned and played here in the UK.
This clarinet is in good condition for its age, and the wood surface shows only slight marks. There is a repaired, glued, pinned, crack running from the top tenon down into the 1st trill key tone hole, see photos 5 & 6. The repair is an old one, and stable. The white leather pads are a mixture of old and new, the last partial service was carried out at a cost of £80. There is no joint wobble, and the key work regulation and touch corks are all good. The Silver plated key work is in excellent condition, it is rare to see a Centered Tone in silver plate, and this example is a late one dating to 1960, with matching serial nos. S1112. All pieces are original with Selmer stamps. The supplied case is a brown leather Buffet with keys. The m'piece is a used Selmer E, in good condition. This is an open lay m'piece for Jazz.
