PAIR OF BOOSEY AND HAWKES SYMPHONY 1010 CLARINETS, £1545

This pair of B&H 1010's are a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. These are 1960's model 1010's; without the Acton patent vent. Initially they were owned by Donald Watson, of the BBCSO Orchestra. More recently they have been owned and played by a Winchester based professional player. The condition of these instruments is very good.
The Bb, serial no. 220721, has wood throughout in good condition. All tan leather pads are in very good condition, as are the touch and tenon corks. The Silver plate is 99%. An after market adjustable thumb rest has been fitted. The A, serial no. 251946, has no cracks or repairs. The Silver plate throughout is in excellent shape, as are all Pisoni Tan Leather pads and corks. There are 3 barrels of 64.5mm, ,64.2mm, and 64.0mm all in perfect condition. The 3 m'pieces are: 1. A custom Pillinger 110EX on an F2 blank, mint condition. 2. A custom Pillinger, 45a , again on an F2 blank, only lightly used. 3. An original B&H 1010 No. 2 which is well used, but still plays nicely. The Orly case is used, but in good condition.
