This is a very good condition Buisson Bass Clarinet in Grenadilla wood to low Eb, stamped " Made in France" which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. The instrument has been professionally owned and used for West End shows. Buisson was a trade name, and it is likely that this Bass clarinet was made either by Malerne, with which it shares identical pad cup sizes, or possibly by Thibouville-Lamy. At any rate these instruments were imported by "Dallas", the same London company which had the Buffet Franchise in the UK during the 1950's and 1960's. There are no cracks or damage to the body, which has only slight surface marks. The crook and the bell are both in fine condition, with only minor marks & dings, no dents. There is a floor spike attachment to the bell. There is only slight wear to the German Silver key work, the key work is in fine order throughout. The Bass has Tan Leather pads throughout in good used condition. The instrument is well regulated, with all touch and tenon corks in good condition. The case is a modern Protech replacement in excellent condition. The m'piece is a used Vandoren B44 in fair condition. This is an excellent early wooden Bass clarinet, with a fine tone. It would be ideal for a professional player on a budget.
