BUFFET CRAMPON PRESTIGE BASS CLARINET, £4495

This is an excellent condition Buffet Prestige Bass Clarinet in Grenadilla wood, to low C, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. The instrument has had only one professional owner, who's work was in London's West End theatres. He is about to start a 2 year tour, and has just bought a new Buffet Bass, hence the reason for the sale.
All Silver plated key work is in excellent condition. There are no cracks or damage to the wood which is pristine. The bell and crook are both in good condition, there are 2 ting "dings" to the bell, see photo 9. The Bass does have a double overblowing vent, and features alternative fingerings for low D. This Bass has just been completely re-padded by Steven Butler in finest Pisoni White Leather. In addition the Bass has been regulated, and all touch corks replaced as necessary. The playing condition is superb. There is a floor peg to the bell, the matching serial nos. are 25619 the instrument was bought new in 1995. The instrument is supplied in the original case, which is in good condition, though the outer leather is scuffed, and one of the handles is a leather replacement. The m'piece is a used professional Selmer.
