A very rare Buffet C clarinet, owned from new by a single professional player, and originally part of a triple set. The Grenadilla wood and German Silver key work are in superb condition, and it is obvious from inspection that this instrument has had little use. The wood shows no cracks or damage. All main pieces are matching and original, and stamped LP i.e. Low Pitch A= 440Hz. In addition the bell carries the American importers stamp, "Carl Fischer, New York". The instrument has just had a full repad with Pisoni Premium Deluxe Tan leather pads in our workshop and is sold with out 1 year warranty. The S/N 1G942 dates to 1912. The m'piece is a "Hawkes" serial no. 806, which has been relayed to 1.1 by 17mm, it works well with standard Vandoren 3 reeds. The intonation and response of this C are superb: The instrument is stable in terms of tuning and remarkably even across the registers.  The case is a not original to the clarinet, but protects the clarinet  well.
