MATCHED PAIR OF BOOSEY & HAWKES IMPERIAL 926 CLARINETS, £1295

This excellent matched pair of Imperial 926 Clarinets are a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. This pair were selected from Boosey & Hawkes by their one and only owner, subsequently she then concentrated on piano at University, and these instruments are virtually as new. The pair were last partially overhauled by T W Howarth & Co. in 2010, a copy of their invoice is included in the sale.
The Bb, S/N 463419, is in excellent condition throughout. The Grenadilla wood, and Silver plated keywork are in pristine order. The pads throughout are fish skin and sealing well. The A, serial no. 448611, has no cracks or repairs. The Silver plate throughout is in excellent shape, like the Bb the pads are not new, but sealing well. There are 2 barrels and 2 Boosey &Hawkes 926 No. 2 m'pieces. Unlike Buffet clarinets, the barrels on B&H clarinets are interchangeable between the Bb and A. The case is also original, it still latches and protects the pair well.
