A superb condition Buffet A clarinet, which would pair well with any of the professional Bb's in the Buffet range. The instrument has no cracks or damage to the wood, which is finest aged, unstained, Grenadilla. The German Silver key work is also pristine throughout, and in perfect regulation. This excellent clarinet has just has an "Artist Quality" full overhaul: Cork pads on the upper joint and finest Valentino pads on the lower. All touch and tenon corks are good. There is no joint wobble. The matching serial nos. are 24539, which dates to 1938, an excellent period of hand manufacture. The tuning and evenness are vastly superior to any modern Buffet R13, or RC A. One would have to purchase a Prestige or more expensive Buffet model to source similar quality today. All parts are original, excepting the barrel, which is a more recent Buffet Prestige A barrel of 63.5mm. The m'piece is an ebonite Buffet C crown, in good used condition. The supplied case is an original Buffet in excellent condition.
