BUFFET PROFESSIONAL 7 RING Bb CLARINET, £595

This is a rare 7 ring Buffet pre-R13, i.e. this clarinet features a fork Eb/Bb. The German Silver key work is pristine throughout. The instrument has just been fully re-padded in Pisoni Premium Deluxe Fish Skin Pads, by Clarinets Direct, and it is sold with our full 1 year warranty. The matching serial nos. are 40458 which dates to 1952. The upper joint has cracked in the past and the crack has been pinned, please see photo 5 which shows the pins around the upper joint stamp. This is the reason for the additional tenon ring at the top of the upper joint, which acts as a band, to further reinforce the crack repair. We have thoroughly checked this old repair for seal, and the wood is stable. All parts are original Buffet with matching stamps. Back then this was the finest professional instrument Buffet made, with unstained, matched wood. The mouthpiece is the original Buffet C Crown in ebonite, in good condition. The case, which is a more more modern replacement is also in good shape.
