A rare & fine early Buffet clarinet. The instrument dates from 1924 with S/N 1R967, and has wood in good condition for its age. There is an old, stable, pinned repair to the top of the upper joint, the crack does not run through into the bore, nor through a tone hole. And also a sealed crack repair to the bell. The Maillechort key work is well regulated with no wear. The pads are all sealing & are mainly fishskin, with the register key and top trill key being tan leather. All corks are good.   This instrument has been well maintained, & played regularly by an amateur with no problems for the last several years. The mouthpiece is a used Vandoren 3V in good condition, 1.15mm by 17.5mm. The case is A Buffet Evette & Schaeffer , fully functioning but with some interior stains & wear to the handle.
