A rare, good condition Noblet, Paris France, Plateau B flat clarinet.
This is an entry level professional model Noblet, with a
covered hole
mechanism, i.e. plateau.
Unlike some of the cheaper models in the range, this clarinet is made entirely from Grenadilla wood.
All the key work, which is plated in Nickel Silver, is in very good condition,
with no wear to the touchpieces, only very slight marks natural to normal use.
The wood throughout is in good condition, with no cracks or repairs to the main pieces,
there are only minor surface scuffs and marks.
However the original Noblet barrel of 66.5mm has cracked, and been sealed & repaired, but, in addition, a custom
Buffet barrel, which is shorter at 65mm, is also supplied.
The clarinet has just been overhauled in
Premium De-luxe white leather pads.
The instrument is sold with our full 1 year warranty.
The matching serial nos. are 7579.
The case is a brand new modern example with over the shoulder carry strap.
The mouthpiece is a used Vandoren B45 in very good condition.
This clarinet continued to be manufactured by Leblanc
right up until they ceased manufacture in 2009. It was described by them as "specifically
designed for the younger player, doubler or even the arthritic player who
may have difficulty covering the standard open-tone-hole".
