A unique opportunity for the serious player or collector. This is a superb condition 19th Century boxwood, brass keyed,  high pitch C clarinet  [ A=452 Hz]. It plays very well with a  " Hawkes & Son" Grenadilla wood C Clarinet m'piece, S/N 4171, which uses modern Bb clarinet reeds. There are 7 salt spoon keys in total, which all have white leather pads in good condition.  The boxwood overall is excellent, with only one tight surface crack to the upper joint [see photos 4 & 5]. This does not enter the bore or a tone hole. The clarinet has obviously had little use, as there is very little wear to the tone holes and only slight marks to the wood surface. There is no makers stamp, just " L , 2" underneath the A key.
