SELMER SERIES 9* Bb CLARINET, £795

This Selmer Series 9* Bb clarinet is in very good condition. The 9* was marketed by Selmer as "pour la musique symphonique", the 9 was "pour le jazz et les varietes." In other words the slightly smaller bore 9*, with undercutting, was aimed at the classical market, the wide bore 9 at the Jazz market.
The clarinet has matching serial nos., A3213 which dates to 1981. The Nickel Silver plating is excellent throughout, with only slight wear to the LH rings. The pads are cork on the upper joint and tan leather on the lower, all in excellent condition. The instrument shows NO evidence of cracks or repairs; the wood throughout is very fine. The case is fully functional, but does show scuffs to the exterior and interior stains.
