This Imperial 926 A Clarinet is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. It has been professionally owned in London by a former session musician and West End, Sax, Flute and Clarinet player. Unlike his Bb Imperial it has seen little use, and it was purchased new by him from Michael White Musical Instruments formerly of Ealing. The instrument has been well maintained, and it has just had a thorough "check up" in our workshop. The Imperial 926 was manufactured as a professional quality instrument on a par with the Imperial Symphony 1010, but with a bore of 15.0mm, as opposed to the 15.25mm of the 1010.
This A, serial no. 498573, dates to 1979/1980, it has no cracks or repairs. The Silver plate throughout is in very good shape, with only slight spot wear to the lower RH keys and tenon rings. All the fish skin pads and corks, are in fine condition, because of the recent overhaul. The supplied m'piece is a good condition 926 No. 2. The barrel is an original 926 marked short. The original case is much worn, but still functional. If desired, we can supply a new rucksack type double case for an additional 50.
