This Imperial 926 A Clarinet is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. The instrument has been well maintained, with the last service on 26th June 2014. The Imperial 926 was manufactured as a professional quality instrument on a par with the Imperial Symphony 1010, but with a bore of 15.0mm, as opposed to the 15.25mm of the 1010.
The A, serial no. 120924, has no cracks or repairs. The Silver plate throughout is in good shape, with only slight spot wear to the F/C key and tenon rings. All the tan leather pads and corks, are in fine condition, because of the recent overhaul. The supplied m'piece is a good condition Holdsworth 926 No. 7. Frank Holdsworth was Principal clarinet of the Bournemouth Sinfonietta, and well known for his custom B&H m'pieces, his customers included Jack Brymer. This m'piece is a significant improvement on a standard B&H 926. There are two barrels, and original 926 and a shorter barrel from an Emperor A, which is of the correct bore for an Imperial 926. The double case is brand new.
