SELMER, PARIS, 10S FULL BOEHM Bb CLARINET, £1095

A superb condition Selmer 10S full Boehm clarinet,with all the "bells and whistles" : Fork Eb/Bb, alternative LH Ab/Eb, articulated C#/G# and low Eb. The clarinet is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct, having come to us via a UK professional player. The Selmer 10 series was the first major model manufactured by Selmer to adopt a small bore undercut design, in the Buffet Crampon manner: Indeed with a bore of only 14.60mm, the 10S is even smaller in the bore than the Buffet R13. The clarinet is extremely lively, easy to play, and has excellent intonation.
This Bb, S/N D2499, dates to the mid 1980's and has Nickel Silver plate, which is in pristine condition throughout, there is no wear at all. Indeed it would appear from the stamps and general condition, that the instrument has just left the factory. There are no cracks or damage to the wood, which is in very good condition. The instrument has recently been re-padded in finest Pisoni tan leather pads. All pieces are original and have matching stamps. The m'piece is a Selmer B* in very good condition. The case has a tape repair to the handle, but it still latches well, and protects the instrument securely.
