An extremely fine Selmer, Paris, 10S clarinet. The Selmer 10S was the first major model manufactured by Selmer to adopt a small bore undercut design, in the Buffet Crampon manner: Indeed with a bore of only 14.60mm, the 10S is even smaller in the bore than the Buffet R13. The clarinet is extremely lively, easy to play, and has excellent intonation.
This Bb, S/N E7735, dates to 1987 and has Silver plate in very good condition. There are no cracks or damage to the wood which is in excellent order throughout, apart from a minor chip to the outer edge of the tenon of the top joint, see photo 2. This chip does not form the bore, and has no affect whatsoever on the response. All pieces are original and have matching stamps. There are 2 supplied barrels, of 64.5mm and 66.5mm. The clarinet has finest Pisoni white leather pads throughout in excellent condition. The m'piece is an "as new" Vandoren 5RV Lyre . The original Selmer case has some marks to the interior lining and exterior, but is in good condition.
