An extremely fine Selmer 10S clarinet, which is a commission sale for Clarinets Direct. This clarinet has come to us from a professional player in The Netherlands. The Selmer 10S was the first major model manufactured by Selmer to adopt a small bore undercut design, in the Buffet Crampon manner: Indeed with a bore of only 14.60mm, the 10S is even smaller in the bore than the Buffet R13. The clarinet is extremely lively, easy to play, and has excellent intonation.
This Bb, S/N B9979, dates to 1982 and has Silver plate in superb condition. There are no cracks or damage to the wood which is in excellent order throughout. All pieces are original and have matching stamps. There are 2 supplied barrels, of 64.5mm and 66.5mm. The clarinet has just had an overhaul in double bladder fish skin pads at our workshop, and is sold with our full 1 year warranty; unusual for a commission sale. The m'piece is an "as new" stock Buffet. The case has some scuffs to the interior lining and exterior, but it still latches well.
