SELMER, PARIS, 10S FULL BOEHM Bb CLARINET, £945

A Selmer 10S full Boehm clarinet,with all the "bells and whistles" : Fork Eb/Bb, alternative LH Ab/Eb, articulated C#/G# and low Eb. The Selmer 10 series was the first major model manufactured by Selmer to adopt a small bore undercut design, in the Buffet Crampon manner: Indeed with a bore of only 14.60mm, the 10S is even smaller in the bore than the Buffet R13. The clarinet is extremely lively, easy to play, and has excellent intonation.
This Bb, S/N C6341, dates to the mid 1980's and has Nickel Silver plate. There is wear overall to the rings as well as to the throat A key, G# key, register key and the RH low Ab and F keys. The plating is not unpleasant to touch, but there is wear consistent with use; overall it is about 85%. There are no cracks or damage to the wood, though there are surface marks and scuffs, again consistent with much use. All pieces are original and have matching stamps. The clarinet has just had a complete overhaul in double bladder fish skin pads at our workshop, and is sold with our full 1 year warranty. The m'piece is a Meyer No. 4 in very good condition. The case is the original Selmer, with scuffs to the interior lining, it still latches well, and there is also a matching case cover with a pouch for accessories.
