A superb pair of B&H 1010's which are a commission sale for Clarinets Direct.
These were by the same collector who bought
Emma Johnson's Elite pair reconditioned from Peter Eaton.
Unfortunately due to tendon problems he can no longer play.
They have been extremely well maintained.
The Bb, serial no. 551531, has no cracks or repairs. The serial number dates to
1983 which makes this an extremely late example.
All Gordon Beeson tan leather pads are in good condition, as are the touch and tenon corks.
The Silver plate is excellent without marks or blemish.
Both instruments feature the late version of the Acton patent vent,
for improved tuning in the RH.
The A, serial no. 500877, has no cracks or repairs. The Silver plate throughout is in excellent shape.
Like the Bb all tan leather pads and corks are also in very fine condition.
Both instruments will be maintenance free for several years
to come with normal use.
There are 2 barrels of 64.0mm and
61.5mm. The two supplied m'pieces are both Boosey & Hawkes No. 2,
one of which is unused and in mint condition.
The case is the original in excellent condition, it has been well protected by the supplied dust cover.
