SELMER SERIES 9 Bb CLARINET

An extremely fine Selmer Series 9 .The 9* was marketed by Selmer as "pour la musique symphonique", the 9 was "pour le jazz et les varietes." The Nickel Silver keywork is good with only wear to the G# key, register key & thumb bush.  The Grenadilla wood is in very fine condition for an instrument of this vintage, though there are 2 cracks to the upper part of the lower joint that we have filled and sealed in the workshop, see photos 4 & 5. Our repair is guaranteed for 1 year. The pads and corks are all good, the instrument will play straight out of the box. The clarinet measures  15.25 mm at the top of the reverse cone of the upper joint. The matching serial numbers are S7082, dating to 1962. The case is of modern, over-the-shoulder zip type, in excellent condition & the mouthpiece a Leblanc 2L in ebonite.
