PAIR B&H 1010 CLARINETS T LAMB COLLECTION

An extremely fine pair of B&H 1010's, which have been owned and played by Tony Lamb, Principal Clarinet of English National Opera. As is usual with Tony's instruments these are in excellent condition & have has  much "after market" tuning work done to improve intonation and response. These instruments are a significant improvement on standard 1010's. The Bb, S/N 267305, has tan leather pads throughout in excellent order, it features the early Acton vent. The silver plate is pristine & there are no cracks or damage to the wood. The A S/N 555989, is in a similar condition, except that there is a tight hairline crack to the barrel which does not go through to the bore. Tony played these instruments as a pair because the sound of the instruments matched so well, despite the difference in manufacturing date. There are 2 m'pieces: a standard B&H 1010 No.2 & a Pillinger copy of an early pre-war 1010 pattern. The case is a modern JM with shoulder carry strap.
